Houston Symphony Strings Join POTM for Wedding Ceremony

It's not unusual for the band leader, Dennis Smith, to visit the site of an upcoming major event and participate in the planning process.

He flew to Houston to meet with one of the owners of the famous Houstonian Hotel to discuss arrangements for his daughter's recent wedding.

The band had only been hired to play the reception, but as Dennis became familiar with the client's vision, and the client became aware of the band's versatility - the client also asked the band to specially arrange and perform music by the Beatles and Elton John for the ceremony -- and by the way, strings would be nice.

After all, what's a wedding ceremony without a string section from the local symphony, Hornz Unlimited, the POTM rhythm section and two of the band's five front singers?

Yes, it was amazing.
